the order that vehicles go down the line are not necessarily in VIN order. It could have been that someone was entering the CEs in the system and assigning the VINs while someone else, or the automated system, was entering customer vehicles from dealer orders. They took all of the CEs and sent them down together so the paint and interior differences would be easy to handle in one shift as opposed to getting spread out and having a dash plaque left off or the wrong shift boot installed or whatever.

yup. all of the CEs were built in a row ealier in the spring or late winter.
Yep, mine was built in May 2005. If you CE owners are bored you can actually check yourselves, I believe I found my build date on the inside driver's door on a sticker there. I'm being lazy right now, I might go in the garage and check later

What does getting paid have to do with hitting the edit button? Do you get paid to post other info?

I work in excess of 60 hours a week. Whenever I edit this thread, I spend a good 2 or 3 hours on it to make sure it is done right. It isn't as simple as replying or editing a post. First off, we verify the overall number to make sure the number found matches the number we have listed, then edit in html, which, while simple html, is still tricky when there is a list as long as this one is. Then part of the section is removed to make room for the new updates, a new update post is made, the links have to be verified for who owns what car, or such as your case, a hyperlink is put in place to show where the information was derived from. Each time I also like to check all the other hyperlinks and remove any that don't work. I miss some from time to time, as evident by pm's I get from other members.

Lastly, and possibly most frustrating, from time to time there are screwy errors in the way the server accepts updates that reflects poorly on the original post, once it was so bad that it wouldn't let me save the post at all and ended up having to delete everything for a couple of days while the admins figured out what the problem was.

I'll be honest, I never really expected to find more than 20 or 30 of these cars, and I've been pleasanty surprised to find the number we have found. I try my best to keep up but sometimes real life makes that a bit difficult. I don't know that anyone would have ever gotten all of the cars together the way we have done it had a couple of us not gotten together and collaberated to make this thread. It would really be nice if the ACR's had been numbered similiarly, they may be the true collectables someday :)

I understand where you come from about work. Although I don't work that many hours a week from the time that I leave for work till the time I actually get home from work its usually a 12+ hour day for me. I know I've posted a bunch of CE that are being sold private or one that have been wrecked. I just don't want my post to be lost in a sea of other talk in this thread. I think it would be awesome if we could track them all down.

#164 will be traded into carmax in houston tx today for a minivan (csrt4).... I love the car but I just don't have the time and money to mess with it anymore along with the car notes. If it was paid off, I would never sell it...best car I've ever owned so far and I will be getting one back in the future and next time it'll be straight up cash but as for now, this is a financial decision.... Im gonna miss it.

They're gonna send it off to auction so I don't know where it'll end up but, who ever gets it, hit me up for the mods....I didn't take anything off.
