I was just curious as to how much boost you can run on a stock SRT-4 block safely? If I end up picking one up, then I wanted to know what I can do to pull more power out of it.
That is the most ambiguous question ever. There are too many variables involved to give you any type of a decent answer. Type of turbo, supporting boltons, etc.Stealth Si said:I was just curious as to how much boost you can run on a stock SRT-4 block safely? like uber said that's a little too broad of a question. If you'd like to know how much does a stock turbo allow it'd be around 20-22 efficiently with the dyno-queens spiking up to 23-24.Stealth Si said:I was just curious as to how much boost you can run on a stock SRT-4 block safely? by the way the stock block with no strap kit holds only about 800hp , found that one out the hard way .stowaway said:the BLOCK (and crank) can hold in excess of 1000hp, but you need everything else to get that high. pistons/rods are good to just over 500hp.

And yes this question is way too vague.

Thank you, I guess I have to phrase my questions perfect on this forum, or let the flaming begin, huh.. Yes, this answered my question. I guess the right question would have been "what is the stock SRT-4 block capable of making, SAFELY, before internals are required"? I know boost levels, fuel, turbo size, etc are all factors in power output, but that wasn't my question.manic_mopar said:There are stock blocks out there holding 400-500+ whp. as far as boost well it varies from setup to setup.
hope that helped some.
