i know depending on the manufacturer of the plaques, that they used to make 2 of them. one in the car, one locked away w/ the manufacturer. I got one for a daytona ram that had the plaque destroyed by my detail dept. i checked in on other vehicles, and they vary by manufacturer, but I have had the pleasure of dealing with this issue more than once. It's not fun, and don't depend on your local parts depts. unless they're wicked awesome. I was told by several that it couldn't be done. I actually emailed the head of mopar parts, and i had like 6 assistants calling and emailing me instantly offering assistance. lol... too bad she retired.
My brother said the same thing, he interned as an engineer for two summers at DCX. There are two of each and Chrysler has them on file. Do you know who the manufacture/ supplier is on these Jimmy?

If it's like the other items on the CE's, blue stitched items, SRT4 in the headrest, SRT4 floormats, and stainless door plates, they were all one off created specifically for just these 200 cars.

I suppose I could ask around and see how much someone could replicate these for, but I doubt it's going to be all that cheap. You are talking about getting a printed metal plate basically.

What about places that do engraving? the plate is looks like an easy size to make/ could be common and then just silk screen over top. Much simpler than than 80's whittier shelby cars.

You should be able to get one through parts with the VIN as there should be 2. The charger superbees' actually had 3 plaques because they gave them a model and the model had a # plaque (so similar to what RT did, but from DCX).

I suppose if you had a part # and the VIN you might have more luck. Being that every srt/neon didn't have the plaque, the PN probably isn't readily available in their system - hence them thinking they can't do anything about it.

um.... I can get some of the seat covers for the comm. editions. (don't ask for part numbers, please)

Info for the dealer to get the plate:

Case Number K75384681
Vehicle Issue SRT Special Editions - Serial Number Plate Parts.
System or Component Customer Concern (No DTCs);Instrument Panel / Dashboard;Yes - Continuously
Recommendation If you need a replacement plate, call Imperial Marketing at 800-255-0826. They will need the following information: Dealer - Name Address Dealer Zone/Code Contact - Person and a Phone Number Vin Last 8 Serial number on dash plate Only 1 extra plate was built for each vehicle, so be careful.

Modification Date 12/29/05 4:02 PM

FYI... not all the srt badges were probably done through imperial marketing, so if they don't make them, they can probably get you on the road to who does.

These should be the comm edition parts I can get:

# New front passenger seat bottom cover
# New front driver seat bottom cover
# New front driver seat back cover
# New rear seat bottom cover
# New rear seat back cover
# New shifter boot
# New steering wheel

We did verify the part numbers and they have the blue stitching. I have sold some of the seat covers only. So if anyone needs these, they can get ahold of me.

hey jimmy pm me with the price of seat covers

hahaha, i had no idea it's been up for sale on eBay so much, it's only the first time Ive seen it there :S
That's 72hemi, he bought the car with like 4K miles on it, he's tried to sell it several times now. It seems to be really well taken care of, I'm guessing though that his reserve price is probably 18K or something which is a little high for a 40,000 miles SRT4, even if it is a commemorative edition.

Selling my CE, if anyone knows of anyone interested. #62- side airbags, sunroof, and kicker. Excellent condition, only mods stage 1 turbo upgrade. Mobile 1 synthetic oil only, well maintained. 39k miles, asking 16,500. located in Metro Detroit

#103

is sitting in front of my house in new hampshire. it has less than 100 miles on it, and the vin ends in 103. Actually belongs to a dear friend who doesn't have room for it in the big city...considering selling it, but it's just such a beautiful car!

Is There Anyone Else Out There, That Has One That Is Right Off The Showroom Floor And Still Has The Original Stickers On It? How Many Came To Colorado? Are There Any States That Didn't Receive Any? Is There Any Way To Tell Which States That These Vehicles Went To? It Seems That The Ones That Come Up For Sale Are From Certain Area's Of The Country?
Anyone Have Any Information??????????
I realize that this is an old question, but I was reading through the blog and saw it, so... I have the original sticker still in the window. The car sits just as it was on the showroom at my dealership when he bought it. I drove it to my house when we sold the store, so it has 75 or so miles on it. Anyone interested in purchasing is welcome to contact me, I know the idea is being entertained.

Comm. part-out

I just noticed on the dot org a CE in CT that's being parted out. It may be old news to you guys (I don't look in here much), but I thought I'd post it in case anyone is interested.

2005 CE- Colorado

Glad to see that someone else out there had held on to theirs and not driven it. I finally started to drive mine due to my Jeep blowing it's cookies. I have about 2,100 miles on it right now. I have listed mine previously when it had 12 miles on it and the interest in it was weak. Everyone wants to lowball on these and the Kelly Blue book and NADA don't even have an add for the C.E. addition which is $1,600.00 more. KBB Retail is still above 19K. I book mine out with 12 miles and then booked it out again with 30,000 miles on it and it went down about $350.00. So I figured there wasn't much loss to go ahead and drive it a little.
From what I can find out there were only 2 of these that were shipped to my state of Colorado and the #43 car relocated to Cali. 1 USED unit from, West Virginia came to a Colorado Spring Dealer 2 years ago, So I have the only one left that was shipped to Colorado new. And 1 of the 56 built that has every option.
If you put yours out for sale let me know how you do. It The best bid I ever got with stickers and 12 miles was 20k in 2006 from a Chevy Dealer in Fla. For a vehicle that had a $24,830.00 MSRP I really felt it could have brought more. A good finance department working with someone with excellent credit can get about $18,000.00+ financed and the rest would have to come out of pocket. (those figures were as of 3 months ago)Mine is still for sale but I will ask the same even with a few miles on it. Hopefully some day the appraisal guides will list the Eddition and give credit for the limited number of units out there.
Have a great day and enjoy the recession!
