check all your lines. make sure the TB line is still connected to everything. make sure the blow off valve connection is secure. also, make sure your vac lines are big enough. that can make a big difference. they need to be small enought to fit snug on the top of the blow off but big enough to flow through. if all that is fine, then lose some washers one at a time until it works. i only have 2 at 20psi and it works fine. you're positive you have a block off plate on the turbo? cause it kinda sounds like the stock blow off is still connected....

You need to take the pink line off the car and run a vac line from the throttle body spacer to the blow off valve. With the pink line hooked to it the factory solenoid has control over the valve which you dont want.

I have a BoP on, and have that fucker silicon glued sealed shut and screwed it. Pink line might be the flutter, would that also lead to a small boost leak? also i haven't checked the washers yet..I'm running stock boost so about 10-12 psi.

please just post pictures. that would solve all of the issues.

Ok, not trying to hijack the thread, but my RFL just started fluttering TODAY. I have 4 washers. It only flutters under 5psi or so, any higher than that and I still get a perfect sound. Could I be hearing compressor surge?

i don't know the temperature in TX but in VA i've had to lube the piston in my RFL because it starts to lock up a little. Temperature drops overnight can cause some weird stuff. i would just try to put a ring of oil around the piston or loctite. i've heard some people use that. with a fifty trim you probably need to keep 4 washers in it so you don't push it out in the higher boost ranges.

I was going to buy an agp hardpipe kit w/ Turbo XS BOV but im not too sure after hearing all this. Are these things that troublesome? or are people just not installing them right.

no they are not and no people don't install them wrong or anything. they are just very basic. it's just a spring holding a piston shut with some washers to adjust it with. people have issues with finding just the right amount of washers to keep it from fluttering and to be able to open up. it works fine once you get it set to the right amount of washers, but every other oil change i lube mine up to keep from sticking. not sure if it's necessary but hasn't hurt yet!
