ok well ever since i got the car at 28k i have ran ngk idiums without one problem, thing is they r $32 bucks..i currently have 53 on my srt now with 13 k on the current irdium set..they still have been workng fine..should i stick with them?..at what mileage should i change the irdiums?..or should i just go to the 4306's??..i am on stock turbo stage 2 currently, but might soon max out stock turbo or go big turbo...

I run the 4306's with my s2 and have never had a problem. Lots of guys running 50-trims run them as well. Most people with issues with the iridiums go back to the 4306's and usually have better success with them...this isn't to say the iridiums are bad plugs, just usually not worth paying 3x more. I would recommend you trying the 4306's next time you switch out the plugs and gap them at .032" and see if you notice any difference. They're only $10 at NAPA so it's worth a shot. Also, I change my plugs every 3-4 oil changes.

On a recommendation from Darryl Cox, i switched to the irridiums (1 step colder) from 4306's.

So far so good. My car idles MUCH MUCH better and is running great!! I did change to a Accel coil as well, so i can't say for sure if it's the plug/coil combo, just the plugs, or just the coil that is making my car run smoother and acelerate better.

DCR stated they gained 3whp increase with this combo. Don't take my word for it, call nubz and ask him:readclose

yea i hear u there..my car has always ran fine with my 1 step colder irdiums that i get from modern performance..i have 13k on them now..im just wondering at what mileage should i change them?

The iridiums may last a little longer then the Vpowers but there is not a performance adavantage between the two. Over 400 whp you should go to a step or two colder plug. You can go 50,000 miles on them, the only issue with spark plugs on a turbo motor is the spark plug gap widens up.

Yea my idle went to poop with the iridiums for some reason, but the upper rpms are smoother with zero blow out (got a tad with the 4306's at 28psi even at a .030 gap).

I have the NGK iridium 2315's or LZTR6AIX-13.. They have worked great for me so far. They are a step colder then the 4306's...

That's on any car, turbo or not, they wear.
