Wont rev past 2000-2200

I have a few questions but before i start i have search for the awnser for a few days and tried everything that i found. I swap the srt engine into my 1g neon all srt wiring cluster ect. it starts and runs idel's fine and most the time starts on the 1st try. I can not get the car to rev past 2000 to 2200. I can not figure out why. I have changed the Cam sensor and map sensor. I do not have a up steam o2 in the car yet i dont know if this would cuase it to go into a safe mode or not i also dont have a alt belt on i kno that shouldnt cuase it. the cel is on i hooked the scaner to the obd2 and i got a few codes. one was the TPS voltage high/low, of course o2 sensor,and somthing about the wastegate silonoid. I unhooked the tps on a friends srt swaped car and it didnt make it not rev past 2000 still reved fine so i dont think taht is what is making this happin. it revs the pop pop pop

Anyone have any ideas??? could it be the pcm? engine wiring? i thought it was cam sensor but it isnt.
its probably the THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (tps) what you mentioned above, the wiring stock is very weak.. try to jiggle the wires and see if your problem is temporarily fixed
It sounds like a fuel pressure issue. Do you have a gauge anywhere? I had the same problem when I forgot a o ring on my fuel pressure regulator when I installed my return line.

I would check the pump/tank/ FPR and try to find a way to monitor the fuel pressure.

Does it shoot black smoke when it is trying to rev higher?

What computer are you using? Is it from an automatic?

It almost sounds like it isn't advancing timing, like you're using an automatic pcm and it's showing park or neutral.

i bought the computer wiring and all off of a member of the site he said that the dash harness and ignition was from a es neon but he reprogramed the ignition with the pcm from what he told me said he had it in his car and it started and ran fine. i do still have the stock 95 tank/pump in and havnt changed the fpr. i am getting a tps code but i unhooked the tps on a friends car and it didnt make it do the same thing mine is doing. thanks for all the help guys. i am greatful for any other input on the situation
Check tps wiring.. and was it from a manual or auto car?
ill check it out and as far as i kno it was from a srt and i thought they were all 5spd. could there be somthing in the dash wiring since it was from a auto neon es
could be from a pt cruiser
The engine is from a pt i put the srt manifold and TB on it. I also switched the engine harness with a srt one and i also think the pt pcm's have pins in the green connector of the pcm

im getting a P0123 Throttle Position (TP) Sensor Circuit High Voltage.
This one just started now it does not start right up have to crank it a few times.
P0344 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent. I just changed the cps and it still did it i had a 24 stratus one laying around that was new and they are the same part number but still doesnt wanna rev
Im getting a EOT code (engine oil temp) the obd codes say P1187 EOT Sensor Ckt. Low Voltage
i think its the tps problem. i had a similar problem and it put the car into safe mode. when i would step on the gas in first gear it would act just like u described. search "tps fix"
Im going to check the wiring that goes to the tps and make sure its not broke or damaged if so ill have to repair it ill let you all know what is causing it as soon as i figure it out
Well today i went and checked out the tps and got a new one and installed it. NO DAMN LUCK. im not sure what is the problem i took the tape and wire loom off the tps wires and they were not cut or anything. Do the wires brake off in side the wire cover? im getting 3 codes now p1187,p0123 and the other one was o2 sensor i think.Anyone have any ideas? thanks alot for the help guys
If you have the wrong cam magnet it will cause this also.
how would i check to see if its the right one
Buy a brand new one for your year. They are maybe 15 bucks and pop it in.
