Hi, I know you can't get OEM belt moldings anymore but has anyone started making reproductions of these yet?

Thanks!

I’m having trouble with my rear window letting water in through the bottom portion of the glass. That molding or whatever it’s called is pretty shot and I need to figure out a replacement for next rainy season
You might be able to find a set on Facebook marketplace. Be warned though, they seem to be going for a bunch of cash (~$500).

Thanks, I’ll check it out. Good luck to you
There are no reproduction parts AFAIK.

From a 2/7/2008 post by Danteneon on 2gn.org:

"On the front...the upper windshield molding (glass to roof) part #5288571AB..MSRP $19.50. The side moldings (glass to doors)..part #5303404AF (right) and 5303405AF (left)...MSRP $54.60 each.

Now the bad part. Chrysler does not service the rear molding. The rear window is encapsulated, meaning it comes in the molding. I called a local glass shop to confirm this. Once you can see straight from the frustration, here is the # for the glass...5008049AL, MSRP $584.00, but you would have this serviced through your local glass company as Chrysler lists this as a Vendor Ship Direct (VSD) part."

Remember- these prices are from 2008 so, if OEM NOS parts are available, the prices have probably changed.

I reached out to this place on FB, Guy Designz Rods and Customs. They make a bunch of aftermarket door panels, kicker panels, etc. They stated it wouldn't be worth their time to even make the mold unless 100 units were to be ordered. With the limited amount of SRT4's (relative to other vehicles), they don't see it being worth their time to sell "a handful of units each month".

They implied that a single custom order would run around or in excess of ~$500. Long story short, we need someone to take the hit and order 100 window belt moldings and try to sell them over the next 5 years :D
Though, if a half dozen other people where to inquire.... Maybe they would be inspired?
My 2 cents on this... if this were done with Stellantis' blessing (meaning that they would approve and license the reproduction parts for a fee), perhaps we could get these (and other replacement parts) made for our cars?

For now amazon sell some universal molding that "could" prevent water from getting inside.

I can see modern as the perfect buyer/seller. Hopefully they can get on board
I'm envious of some cars (Mustangs, Camaros/Firebirds, etc.) since there are many factory-approved reproduction parts available for them. I was at the Mecum Auction in Indianapolis on Saturday and saw an early '70s Camaro with new rubber moldings for the frameless door glass.

Agreed. I’m not planning on getting rid of my car that I bought back in 2005. So if anyone heard of any potential purchase order, I’m game on a full set all around

I'm definitely game for a full set if anyone ends up getting them reproduced. I just recently inherited my old '04 SRT4 back from my little brother and will be doing the body and paint this winter!
