Well, anyone have FACTS? Or even very good guesses? To increase sales? Becuase the incereased airflow of S3 is actually helped by letting it vent external? Discuss:)

Also, is the Forge a suitable subsitute? If not, why?

Probably to reduce the number of "which BOV should I buy" threads....

I get about three PM's and Emails a week about aftermarket BOV's, and just refer them to Hector, who actually knows the answers...

Asking me about about Greddy, Apex'i, and HKS BOV's is like asking Jeff Gordon which flavor of Coke is better....

Optimized Calibration for the Mopar Performance Blow-Off Valve (sold separately). The Stage 3R kit has improved the functionality and the audible performance of the integrated recirculation valve with the BOV Conversion Kit in mind.
They optimized the calibrations for a performance Blow off valve, and since they offer one, they recommend theirs. In other words, the new calibration is for enhanced performance of the recirculation valve and addon BOV's. Mopar offers a performance BOV, so they will be recommending their own before they recommend another vendors part.

IN MY OPINION!

dale im going to fwd those yahoos your phone now. Now i know why i get so many of these PM.
I thought you were doing that already with the number of Hardpipe kits I've been installing :hi:

but seriously, the covwersation usually goes like this...

Which BOV is better (writes a list of names that I can't pronounce).

I like the Mopar Performance Diverter kit because it's cheaper and bolts right on.

I want a real BOV, which one is better?

You need to talk to Hector at Exhaust Depot because he knows what he's talking about when it comes to BOV's and how to mount them.

How do I mount a Greddy BOV?

Hector has a mounting flange on his hardpipe kit, ask him about it.

How much is it?

To install? It's easy...

No, how much is the mounting kit?

I don't know, ask Hector, he has the BOVs too. Ask him to premount the BOV on the flange for it.

Where else can I buy the mount?

I don't know. I don't think there is anyone else.

Who sells it cheapest?

I'm sorry, you've asked too many annoying questions, your email address is temporarily blocked. Please try again later.

So, the question now becomes, " If am running the stock diverter valve, is there ANY gain to be had by changing to a external vent configuration?"

"If so, will I NOT achieve stated power by not venting external?"

This is NOT a "Which BOV should I use" but a "Do I NEED to run the Mopar or other external venting BOV with S3?"

Why did they not recomennd it for S2?

Or, to ask it another way:) "Dale, how will your car be configured if you go S3?"

As far as Stage 1 and 2, I do not think they changed the calibrations for the recirculating valve and the use of a BOV.
I think the BOV to them at that time was nothing more than a noise maker toy that fit the scene.

IN MY OPINION!
