As i rode down the road in his car you could see double and tripple takes of the back and the tag is like a "hey u think this is a neon with sticker...nahhh buddy this IS the real deal and what!!!!" In NC it's eight. Normal plates are seven (Like "NPV 7518"), but you can have up to 8 characters on a personalized plate.
