Hey, I have been reading the boards for a few days, I am a new owner from Gilroy California and I was just wondering how many people on here are actually SRT-4 drivers, and how many people are actually over 18..the way people act on this board, it seems as if they are like under 15 and arent even old enough to have a lisence...I am surprised, most forums are a great place to be, but it seems like there is nothing but flame wars being started everywhere you look on this forum?

why do you guys get so intimidated by WRX drivers, and EVO8 drivers...its no big deal the 2 cars are in different categories...and also I noticed people get offended easily...I dont know what the deal is, but I dont think this is how a board should be...are the moderators not doing their job right, or whats the deal?...I am not attacking anyone specific, but I just want to know why this is not a normal board and you guys are so sensitive..

Well, I get to drive the SRT-4 on weekends, the wife gets it during the week, does that count? And I would say I am about 12, more or less. :lol:

I don't, I drive an '02 Impreza 2.5TS. And I'm a 20 year old college student working on my mechanical engineering degree by evening, working to pay for my car and it's mods during the day, and playing race car driver as much as possible on the weekends.

There are several mature SRT owners on this board who have a lot of good info to give. The trick is learning to recognize who these people are and also staying out of the obvious flame threads. Please don't generalize and lump all of us under the same category...there are exceptions here.

I actually drive an srt4. I am 19 years old, work full time for shit pay (but i like what i do), and I have a whole 14units at college (will get at least 60 when i get off my lazy butt.

And I do not know why but 90% of the time the person in the other car is really cool. I have gotten into conversations with countless people at stoplights in any car i am in.
One time a couple guys in a z28 were next to me at a light. he saw the svt on my rims (back when I had an svt focus) and said "svt, huh". then we got to talking about how it sucks straight line but it will take a zo6 on a very tight track. we obviously raced from that light and when I finally caught up to them was a mile later and they already made the u-turn and both of them had a hand out the window with a thumbs up, as did I. Looks like I am just a friendly guy.

Other board don't have this influx of flaming trolls like we do either. I'll give you this, this board is intense; it's designed to be like that. We are not advertising for members here, if you can't hang or don't like it...Leave!
We are cool people though, just look at some of the non-flaming threads and you'll see.

I have had my Silver SRT-4 for 2 weeks now. I put just over 1000 miles on it so far. I love it. But as soon as my JDM EVO VIII gets here, (June), the SRT-4 becomes my wife's toy.

A HELLA GREAT car for the bucks. I have 2 mods on order, a K&N Air filter and the Pair of Motor Mounts from our 'group buy'. Top speed so far... 135 MPH. ( I ran out of road.)


And, I am in the Geezer class.... 55 years old

And, no, I don't have an SRT-4. But I'm going to the SRT racing school on May4th (see sig), and I'll hopefully be walking away with one of 'em! Hopefully.

If not, then I'm thinking about buying one anyway.

If you go to a bar, do you leave because there is a bunch of folks in one corner being loud? Just stay in the quiet corner. That would mostly be the MODS and dealer service sections.
