speaking of wheelhop and dampening, whether we have this suspension mod or not from psi fi etc etc etc....all that aside...for those of us w/the fully adjustable IP2 coilovers, whats the BEST setup for ALL FOUR corners of the car as far as the stiff/soft settings go on each coilover strut? i had the psi fi dogbone mounts before i put on the IP2 coilovers, and i had NO wheelhop, LOVED it! put the IP2 coilovers on the car, bam, back to wheelhop 85% of the time again:( now, i have the coilovers at all for corners of my car set to 1 notch to the right off of the full stiffest setting. okay...so say we set ALL FOUR corners alll the way to the left(which is the stiffest setting, aka 0). Now, my questions are....where should each of the two front ones be set at (0(stiffest)-34(softest))? and where should each of the two rear ones be set at (0(stiffest)-34(softest))? i want to set it up for the least to no wheelhop possible. thanks!

I have yet to fully utilize my rebound setting on my stage 3, but I am guessing that if the rears are as hard as possible (to reduce squat), and the fronts are as soft as possible (to maintain a contact patch) you will have the best results (at least for the straightaways). This is just theory right now though.

did you do anything to your car as far as performance after the coilovers. oh yeah hmmm i think you did a new clutch, the clutch grabs alot harder than the stock which will help put down more power. more power = wheel hop. also the clutch does chatters when you take off normal. it almost feels like a hoping sensation.

i have my rears set to fully hard
and the fronts set 8 clicks from soft to hard

damn we almost have the same settings! 10 front and fully hard rear(34)

ray...u said you have your fronts 8 clicks from soft to hard...meaning u set them FULL soft(all the way to the right), then turn them back to the LEFT toward hard? let me know!

and yes...i forgot to mention i do have the spec 3i in my car, didnt think it would make the car rattle and bounce on a good hard launch and feel like wheelhop though :stab: let me know 'bout the setting on the front again then i'll go and try it out! thanks man!

Ok....which way is full soft on the Mopars S3 coilovers? I want to adjust mine full hard in the rear and full soft in the front to see what happens.
i dont have the mopar s3's, i have the IP2's, BUT i'm almost certain that the S3's are the opposite of the IP2's because i believe the IP2s are backwards. Turning the IP2's all the way to your left puts them on full hard, all the way to the right puts them to full soft. I believe the normal correct way is opposite, and i believe the mopar s3's are the correct way, so i'm almost positive for you it'd be all the way to your left is full soft, all the way to the right if full hard, i may be wrong but i'm just going by how i was told that the IP2's are backwards/oppositve of all the others. hope i'm right, and that it helped lol..

so, basically...

clockwise (turning to the right) is full hard
counter clockwise (turning to the left) full soft

now, what is ideal for road racing? Full hard on all four corners?
what's ideal for drag racing? full hard in the back, softer in the front???

well mine are gay then, cause all mine are full hard all the way turning to the left, and full soft going all the way to the right(clockwise) on my IP2's.
