Ok. I have my boost controller and various other upgrades ready for my car when it arrives, but I was wondering what boost you guys are running for racing purposes. I don't really car for what you have it set at for daily driving. I've seen most going with like 16-16.5 PSI. I know the CEL kicks for overboost around 17 PSI, but wanted to know if going over 16-16.5 will cause detonation? If the engine isn't getting enough fuel at 17PSI and above, can a AFC help correct this or are the injectors too small? I'm trying to get all my info together since my car will be here VERY soon. Thanks in advance!

I havent gotten to the Dyno yet to check that out but I will be soon.

Now based on dros dyno last week...
If you set it up like his....stick to 16 or under until you know what your car is doing for sure.

Also from his experience...it appears as if the injectors are running out of flow at 17PSI, so I would say no the AFC would not help you.

Congrats on getting the car soon. I run about 16-16.5. And my car has detonated twice :shock: Both times accelerating in 5th gear from like 60 mph full boost and i've got the over boost code. But my EBC/TT never see over 16.7

What config do you have? The one capable of producing 30+ HP or the one that produces mad torque with no HP?

I just find it strange that u detonated witht that setup, cuz most dynos show the car still runnign rich with that setup.... :?:
