Did you see MB's latest? The CL65 AMG. A 6.0l version of the twin-turbo Maybach engine, with larger turbos and more boost. It makes 738pound-feet of torque at 2000 rpm

If you thought your 469-horsepower E55 AMG or 493-horsepower SL55 AMG was enough to make you top dog among your AMG brethren, you thought wrong. In Geneva, Mercedes pulled the wraps off the CL65 AMG, the most powerful AMG model to date. Unlike the E55 and SL55, which are powered by a supercharged V-8, the CL65 is motivated by a twin-turbo V-12 that develops a stunning 603 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque, the latter available from only 2000 rpm. Based on the 12-cylinder unit in the S-class, the CL65 powerplant gets numerous modifications, including increased displacement from 5513 to 5980 cc, increased cylinder bore from 82.0 to 82.6 millimeters, lengthened stroke to 93.0 millimeters, increased maximum boost to 21.8 psi, and forged pistons. Mercedes claims the CL65 AMG accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in only 4.5 seconds, on the way to its governed top seed of 155 mph. Power is transferred by a five-speed automatic transmission with Speedshift manual control. Because of all the torque on tap, the transmission, the rear-axle differential, the drive shafts, and the wheel carriers have all been strengthened. As with other CLs, the CL65 AMG is fitted with the Active Body Control (ABC) suspension. Mercedes says there are currently no plans to bring this hot-rod CL to the U.S.
Darn!
