if your trying to lighten up the car to gain et rule of thumb is it takes 100 lbs to gain .10

For most cars it's about 30 lbs. for a metal sunroof, and sometimes up to 45 for a glass one (BTW- glass weighs more than the metal). The worst part about the weight is that it's at the highest point in the car possible, which makes it the single worst place to add weight for handling. If you are serious about autoX, I wouldn't recommend one, at least thats why I went with no options

Sunroofs kill performance. they raise the center of gravity and they generally weigh 35-45 pounds.

i couldve sworn i heard our sunroof was 70 pounds on the srt. not sure where it came from but makes since......you cant just weigh the sunroof itself, im pretty sure there has to be some type of roof reinforcement added to keep the ridgity in the chassis.almost positive its 70 pounds.
