walbro install and now o2 sensor code?

Hey guys,

I posted this in fuel delivery but no luck. I just finished installing walbro fuel pump and now after a few miles I am getting code p1038 (o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2). I have stage 1 which makes no sense to me and the sensor is still plugged in. I have been running it like this for a long time, which makes me think that something else is setting it off.

Any ideas? :stab:

Joe thats rather weird. You didnt touch anything else?
yea that's what I thought too. I only did the fuel pump install. On a side note, I am also running somewhat lean up top, and I have 750cc injectors, so that's another oddity, but I'm thinking that might be my wideband reading incorrectly because my sparkplugs are stock heat range... :crying:
actually, I'm thinking that since my car smells like fuel and I think I spilled some on the bottom of my car, that could be throwing off the sensor somehow. I think I'm going to take it for a wash and see if that works...sigh...
the only purpose in life of the second 02 sensor is to see it the cat is happy and thats it.

Did you try erasing it atleast once? If it keeps triggering i would fault a wiring problem, bad connection, burnt wire etc.
true, it shouldn't even be reading it with stage 1. I will have to look at the wiring, maybe it got beat up from something on the ground?
i am getting the same code now after 255fp install>.....weird
