I recently changed my thermostat to a 180 one and flushed my system and put new coolant in. When I went to start it and let it get to operating temp the upper radiator hose was swollen and really hard almost as if it wanted to bust. Anyone know why that might be happening ? Thank you

its probably an original rubber hose.... they do wear out over time and require replacements.

If you had a plugged radiator it might do that. Did you use the right type of coolant (and not mix types)? These came with pink HOAT coolant, and in my experience it does work best in these cars. There used to be stories on here years ago of people mixing coolant types and causing some kind of gel to form and clog the cooling system.
