PLEASE PLEASE can yall measure how far your adjustment screw is sticking out from the type s and what it starts blowing off at....also can you put what kind of boost your running (spike/hold)

ok so for the past 3 days i've been messing and messing and messsing with the adjustment screw on the type s....ok so far only thing i've noticed that it changes is where the metalic noise starts....my friend that had the this type s on his car was able to make it hold any amount of boost he wantes to redline..NO wasteage. only a boost controller and the type s...

so far no matter how loose i go or so far how tight i go it doest really do anything as far as my boost goes...

was anyone able to make it hold more boost?

IF not then is there any benifit from having the metalic noise start earlier? cause i really like the noise and the ablility of having it go off under minimal throttle..

THANKS IN ADVANCE,
alex

Someone correct me if im wrong, but our WGA will only hold so much. so that is your weakest link (or leak, if you want to call it that). you said your friend had no WGA, so his "boost" would not leak out there. if you want to hold more boost, you need to upgrade your WGA as well.

sorry i didnt list my mods..

Stage 1, tcc wga (greenline) adjustable bleed, 3" maxxfab dp no cat, wires, mmi's,cold air extension, fuel pump ....thats it as far as performance mods

right now to get it to hold 16 at redline i have to make it spike 19-20 psi (split second spike) ....which is BAD for traction in 2nd gear...as soon as it spikes it just rips them loose in 2nd..so i want to acheive the 16 redline with a less of a spike...perferable 17-18 psi holding across the rpms then 16 at redline

thanks,
alex

If you want to control boost, don't bother messing with your BOV, start with your WGA ...

or even if its not gonna happen with the type s.......i just want to know in general what the adjustment screw does other than moving the starting point for the bov....is there a advantage from having it start blowing off at 0psi instead of -10 vacc?
