I went to etown on saturday to run my SRT4 for the first time. I couldnt get traction at all... i ran a 13.8 @ 105.22

with slicks, maybe a traction set-up, is a 12.5 possible?

Short & Simple.

No.

You would need a trap much closer to 110ish with a 60' of 1.8 or lower for that type of E/T.

If you could trap 106mph on slicks and had a perfect run chances are you would be DAMN close to 12's...again 106 on slicks and an otherwise perfect run!

I'm thinking of investing in some Kosei 15X7 wheels and some M&H 26X6X15 slicks...it should get me there

Trap speed doesn't necessarily reflect how fast your run was at all!! My 87 Turbo T ran 12.6 @ 108, but my dad had an '87 Turbo T that ran a 13 flat @ only 99mph!! A good time is all in the launch.
Weight is a BIG factor as well...my post was in regards to the SRT4 not any other car.

Yeah you will be dam close to 12s with your trap speed and yes trapspeed really does matter that shows your making the power. And man dam that was awesome u trap at 123 and run 13s when you hook that good enuff for low 12s or possibly better. Thanks Tim

True, but the trap being known kind of takes weight out of the equation. A 1969 Buick Riviera (boat) trapping 106 and a SRT4 trapping 106 will run roughly the same times given the same traction. Although the riviera will probably run the better ET due to weight transfer. RWD>FWD in drag racing ALWAY given the cars are pretty evenly modded.
