Has anyone else here topped there car out. THe other night i went up to mt. charleston with a friend and on the way back i topped it out on the highway i topped out at 156. to bad my drunken retarded friend htat does not know how to use a digital camera didnt take the picture

Remember that what you see on the speedo isn't really how fast you are going. When I've been racing my speedo says I'm going slower than my trap speed really is. It says 99mph when I was really going 102 so the speedo is about 3 mph off at 100mph.

I been reading these posts longer than i have been a member an sure everyone is entitled to there own opinion an i wont take offence to it.. I respect your opinion, It's not like i went there strictly to do that. was up there looking at cabins to rent. besides the only thing was gonna die out there at that speed was me my friend an maybe the unfortunate animal thatcould have jumped into the road at that moment other than that it was deserted i live in the fkn desert there are plenty of places that i can take my car that is far enough form civilization that i won't endanger other people.... I won't do it on the freeway i go into the desert an top it out so you can't complain an if your worried about my well being don't because i certainly don't care what other people do in the desert alone by themselves at night

Sorry but I don't go speeding aroud on public roads I really like my very inexpensive insurance. :wink: But If you want to meet me at the trck when I run then you more than welcome. I have hade it up to 120 at the track before I had to shut down :wink:

Ahh... not from what I know.. I race at an NHRA track and they use a device like a radar gun. If it was guesstamated it wouldn't qualify if someone had a record run or something like that :wink:

Hmm why would your car cut u off at 149? I know it was tested in car & driver at 158 i hit 156 but htere was no cut off. i just coultdnt get it to go ne faster

That's one thing I don't understand why do they even put governer's on car''s if it's not required by law? Do they think they will sell more car's because they made them safer?
