to wing, or not to wing *poll*

I removed mine for a couple of reasons.

1. I hate the ricer/boy racer look.

2. I hate the attention it draws.



I installed an SXT wing in it's place because I didn't like having 4 holes in my trunk. I like the SXT wing SOO much better!

I want to get rid of mine..... how much was the SXT wing?

The only downfall to taking it off is when you hit the trunk release on the key fob, the trunk flies up without the weight of the wing. I'm going to have to drive by a dealer and look to see what's different on a regular neon. I like the looks better with it off, especially with my single exhaust.

I took mine off for awhile. I could not find anything to plug the holes that did not look like ass and dont know if I want to go permanent and switch with a non tailed neon.

I used vinyl decals cut the size of a silver dollar, and just in case used some silicone on the inside of the trunk. The wing really pulled on the holes of the decklid for the year and a half it was on there, so the finish is still a little wavy, but I think you still need to look to notice that anything was there. And I think it still looks better then the spoiler.

all you have to do is adjust the spring tension inside the trunk. look in there it takes 1 second and your trunk wont fly all over the place.

I Did the same thing for the same reasons. I like the sxt wing much better.

If you dont like attention, then why did you buy one of these cars??? Keep the wing on!

I say get rid of it. I'll have mine off the minute I pick up the car and get it home (which will hopefully be this spring).

It just screams rice. Really wish Dodge had a wing delete option.

I want to take my wing off, but what do I do about the holes in the trunk?

Keep it on.... it is a main feature of the SRT... i like it!

but each his own... btw it is tied

Those are the only two choices...big wang or no wang at all?

i like the wing. It gives the sportscar look to it.

right now I have some clear rubber things over the holes, once I get some mods out of the way the trunk will visit a body shop.

where did you get the plugs from?

I wanna take my wing off asap but I am not wanting to run around with them open.
