Those Having Problems Shifting While Going WOT..Possible Fix, Worked For Me

I have seen quite alot of people with this problem. Under WOT, they try to shift into the next gear and it won't let you. I started having this same problem a little while back, and have read of people saying check your shifter cables, did that, there fine, and your clutch and tranny, also fine (Car is baby'ed)

So, the other day I had the car on the lift, checking everything over again. I then was about to take it out of the shop, when I decded to check the Mopar STS. Well, I've had the shifter for a while now, about 3yrs or so, and upon taking the boot off, I noticed that there wasn't no white lithium greese on the shifter. (Keeps it lubed I gess) So I put some new greese in, took it for a spin under WOT, and the problem was GONE.

So, maybe for you guy's that are having this problem, maybe check your shifter's.

Great advice and info. I will keep this in mind when I start having any sorts of problems related.
Thank's. I was just glad it wasn't something serious.

Do you have a particular part number for the grease that we need? I know I had this problem with my maddog short shifter so I went back to stock shifter. Once I put the stocker back in there poof WOT was back to normal. I now have a slowboy 80% reduct in there, but cant test it out since my turbo hasnt arrived yet....waiting on me to send money to buy one :zzzz:

No part number. It's through my work.

You can also use regular wheel bearing greese.
might as well put it on the stock shifter too..guess it could help out
