The New Guy

Hello to all the SRT 4 owners. I would like to know what you guys think I should do. I've got about 1k that the wife is letting me spend on my car.
I'm not planning on going over 300hp, if that helps. I would like simple bolt on mods, that don't require mixing high octane fuel. My car is an everyday driver. So with that said, what should I do? Thanks in advance.

i really can't believe these are still poping up...heres what you do with that 1k:
-send it to me, i'll put it to real good use.
-use the search button and spend some time on this site
-when you get to the point that you find your own post retarded then consider buying parts for your car.

now that the whole asshole thing is out of the way, get a WG, a TBE, and a FMIC. with the money you have left buy MM's, spark plugs, wires, K&N drop in and enough beer to install all the stuff. for reference it takes roughly one beer per hour of inexperienced install time.
Search all your questions have been answered already. Or check the performance mods section it has a 300hp guide.
i'm with your sig man...i always try to help the guy that posts up without searching but damn this was just one to many
i would but I can't seem to find anything specific enough. And all these abbreviations are just letters to me. but i guess I'll try a little harder, and try to learn a little. And if anyone wants to give any specific parts a recomondation then pm them to me. Thanks and sorry for being the typical new guy . Just remember that you were once there also.
Like stated above your best bet is to go to the Peformance Mod section and look thru the stickys...Plenty of info there and much easier then searching. Have fun with the 1K modding, im sure your wife is never going to let you do this again.

If you ask something specific it's much easier to answer you. there are about 500 parts that fit into your price range but it totally depends on how you want to build your car.
check the performance mod section but let me just give you a starting point....free up the exhaust...get an intake, dp, o2 housing and an exhaust
performance mod section...first free up the breathing on the car....exhaust, intake, dp, o2 housing, etc.
I have a K&N CAI and ngk plugs. lets take one thing at a time. What brand and size of exhaust is best. ive seen ones that are $800 and ones that look and that are made with exactly the same materials, that are $200. Would it be smart to buy the cheaper even though they're pretty much the same
for exhaust, dp, o2 etc,. contact scott at maxxfab...they are the best...
ok good deal now whats the next thing to get, are turbo timers important. and will i need a better bov.
There are some mods that I bought right when I got the car that I wish that I could take back, or 're-do'. My best suggestion is to spend at least an hour or 2 (or more!) on this site every night. If someone mentions something in a thread you don't understand, open up another web browser and search the forums for the info... trust me its there. After a couple of months, you should have enough info/time in the seat to order the right stuff!

Good luck and happy modding :eveilgrin
thanks everybody
