Muahaha, there's a neighborhood by me with a subdivision where all that is built so far is the road, I swear to god it's like a race track, I'll possibly try to get one of my friends to take a video with my camera and send it to neanwasp?? This thing's handling is AMAZING, it sure as hell doesn't only go in a straight line, I was taking turns in 2nd gear at about 60 with the tires barely starting to squel, and I'm talkin really hard turns, anyway if any of you would like to see it in person (I live in Tampa) tomorrow I don't work til 3 so if anyone wants to meet up somewhere around noon or so reply here or email me :D , I'll see if I can get that video

Dude,
Fairbanks Dodge is like 5 min from my house (if I were in SoFL and not in school in Chicago!!). I was talking to them and REALLY wanted to get this car, but my car (SVT Focus) took a HUGE depreciation hit and if I can do anything it won't be for a while. Lucky man you are. HOW DOES IT DRIVE??? Does it accelerate like the mags say (by seat of pants of course)? Don't you just love all those great FL bugs f'n up the front of your new toy? Damn swamps. :x

My first mod would definitely be some silver vision style bulbs. Boo for the cross eyed look.

silver vision style bulbs

That sounds like a good idea. I changed the bulbs on my 96 neon and it was a huge pain in the ass. On top of that, the bulbs weren't even as bright as the ones that came with the car. Any suggestions or reccomendations on where to get some good BRIGHT bulbs?

Whats that?
Bulbs that look silver, but blink orange. Pep boys has some rip-offs as should most rice automotive stores.

Wolfsslayer, I use Sylvania Silver Stars for my headlights. The are brighter than stock and look real nice. If you are just going for brightness, Hi-Visions are probably a better bet, they don't look nearly as cool though. :)

Wow, that is a nice looking car. Makes me think twice about getting a second Neon. Although, I cannot afford a brand new $20K automobile right now. So, you guys that are buying them now, please don't beat on them too much so when I buy it used it will still have some fun left for me.

but wtf is up with all that oxidation? Did they dunk the metals in salt water before assembly?
I saw that oxidation on both the SRT's at the dealer I went to in Fort Lauderdale as well. While I was sitting in the one in the showroom I looked in the glove box and there were some shipping papers in there. The first was from the factory to a storage facility and the next was from the storgae facility to the dealer. I couldn't figure out how long it was there but if its been since early Dec sitting in the salt water air around Miami then raw aluminium like those pieces are going to get surface corosion. I did try to wipe some off and it does. First thing I'll do if mine has the same is clean those bad boys off and seal them
