Anyone know what would cause a "clunk" from the area on the passenger's side front under conditions like
- Steering wheel turned that direction and starting to reverse out, especially if going over a dip or something
- Quick acceleration without steering wheel turned
- Sometimes over speed bumps
I'm thinking maybe balljoint, control arm, maybe even motor mount...?

considering the age of these cars and the likely higher mileage most have, all rubber parts should be inspected and considered suspect when diagnosing any issues.


my bet would be on control arm bushings.

I'd put it on jack stands then get under there with a pry bar and have a friend wiggle the steering wheel to try and identify the root cause.
Better yet, a lift which maintains the ride height while checking with the pry bar would be ideal.
You may even be able to find a decent repair shop who would be happy to do the inspection if you trust them to repair the root cause...but it's tricky finding an honest shop...

Another possibility with those symptoms is a broken, or even just loose, stabilizer bar end link.
