You could always delete it... Parts for repair are most likely long discontinued. Your only option will probably to replace it with a good used setup or delete it... or just live with it.

very glad mine didnt come with a sunroof.

Im not the sunroof expert but, I'm pretty sure those mechanisms largely went unchanged from 1995-2005 across most of the small car platforms.

Could be worth a look
