stock turbo psi limit

I allow mines to spike at 22psi. S2.

If you want to with yours.. I see everyone is setting there 04 to spike 18psi.

After aprox 16 lbs you will get a overboost code. At 18-21 lbs (If I am not mistaken.. and I just might be) you will begin to get detonation with stock ecu and injectors

but your turbo isnt stock right? its a stage 2 turbo

Nope stock turbo.. S2 is a new pcm and injectors. 3bar map/tip sensors.

He just has Stage 2, on the stock turbo.

Oops. sorry about my post then.. I was thinking stock ecu and not just stock turbo. My bad.

so you guys think 18psi would be ok? remember everything on my car is stock.

get stage 1, less concern if you wanna push it that high. And by concern I mean that you'll get a pcm that will be able to handle that stuff a little better

I run 20 psi dropping to 16 at redline :hi:

im still thinking about doing it. My brother put a manual boost controller on his vr4 so how hard is the stock boost controller 2 get to.

I was looking at the stage 1 kit and its upgraded fuel injectors (which the 2004's already have) and the stage 1 pcm. so basicly all i need is the stage 1 pcm? I also found out its easy to install from on this site. plus its not all that expensive.1/4 th of the cost of stage 2
