I've only got about 1k miles worth of tread left & winter is coming up... What are the best all season tires on the market, something I could keep on year round with decent street performance. ??? I'm looking for some 225/45/17 to go on my 17X7's. Thanks for the info in advance.

PS: I still have my stock Michelin Pilot Sports, has anyone had any fitment issues using these on 17x7's???

I just got the Toyo Proxes 4. They seem to be pretty good so far. They are 10mm wider than the Pilot Sports and the rest of the dimensions are the same. They were a tad bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Based on the number of damaged northern SRT's last winter, you'd be best off picking up a set of used stock wheels and putting some real winter tires on them... I liked the Nokian Hak's, the Blizzacks would wear too fast on the streets that were cleared...

I'll be heading back to Binghamton (NY) this week, it's not snowing up there already, is it?

It definitely smelled like winter last night...

Depending on how much driving you do in the winter, and how much it snows where you are, you may want to seriously consider snow tires. If it saves your bumper once, it's worth it. No all-season is going to be great in the snow to begin with, especially with a 225 wide tire.
