Hey for those of you with stage 2 how did teh BOV change when you added stage 2? I timed mine today and it goes off for about 3 full secs when driving around......is this normal? Those of you with stock cars and the BOV how long does your go off?

When I let off the accelerator @ 0 PSI -> -20 PSI

03 S0 PCM = forever
04 S0 PCM = 1 sec
S1 PCM = 1 sec
S2 PCM = 1 sec (but it seems shorter than S1, because I get more choppy sound from the CAI)
Weird? Mine doesn't blow off after 10 on the vac side of the guage. If I back up off the throttle but not all the way the sound lasts longer then just letting off the gas all together.

good god 3 seconds???
If I let off the throttle at 12-15 psi(according to gauge) My BOV goes off forever(I only do this to piss off the neighbors) during normal driving, usually just a slight Pssssh sound between shifts
sure its not fluttering ?? lol
i have noticed also.. if you let off the gas slowly.. the bov will last longer also.

last has in time duration.. nothing to do with it going bad.
Ok, I re timed it ....it's bout a 1..1000....2...1000 time frame. So maybe not as long as 3 seconds. It seems to be that long under boost and in vacuum.
When I took my S1 off it seemed my BOV would last longer. Sometimes under light acceleration it will go off for 2 or 3 secs when I let off the throttle. When I do WOT or shift really fast I only get a short psht, easily less than 1 sec...
if you wot shift your bov should not go off at all.
I have never had my bov go off during vacume (either it does and I can't hear it or it doesn't at all). When I installed it, I used a shit load of RTV on both sides of the gasket. I haven't had any problems with it and even seem to hold a little more boost till redline (13-14psi).

O_O WHAT!!!

I think my car has MAJOR issues then. :stab:
I just got my stage 2 install yesterday and i did noticed the BOV going off when vacume, even if i dont shif, just by letting off the gas it will go off, not as loud but i can hear it. another thing the vacume went fron 27 to 29, its this normal after installing s2?
