Wow, talk about top end on the Corrado. . . (note to self: remove wing, mirrors, 76 antenna ball, and any other drag inducing items when racing Corrado's at the strip)

I'm having trouble seeing the video, is it still working? I'd really like to see it as i am a former Corrado owner , unfortunantly I had to sell the car and was debating on getting another one before the SRT 4 came out. It would be nice to see how the SRT 4 I want faired against my old baby.

The Corrado is a VR6 version with a Supercharger set to 9psi. I spoke to the guy last Sat night and he said hes put down 250whp and 220wt before but the car is not running well at the moment. The SRT4 in this video is Second Chances car..l8r and go to www.WindowsMedia.com for newest version of Windows Media Player

Vortechs have serious pull on the top end. Back in the early days of NMCA races alot of Vortech and Paxton cars had nitrous oxide because the car's don't 60ft and 330 well.

A Centrifgal car needs to spend time in top gear to be effective. So that's what happen with the Corrado. It's prolly the Z Engineering kit, which uses a Vortech V5 blower. At 8psi is worth about 70-80hp over stock. Depending on how HOT that VR6 is, I would guess a little more than 220hp he was claiming. I've seen those car's dyno way over 250hp in alot of cases and since the that SRT-4 is prolly around 250hp at the wheels with the boost controller, the VR6 has to putting down more especially high up when the Neon would have to shift again.

That was a sweet vid.....

However that Corrado did a hell of alot better then the one I raced in El Paso sunday at the airport drags! Was a nice car and a nice guy, but I put at least a few carlengths on him by the end. Was saying he was also supercharged but had no boost gauge... :? Was also complaining about getting no traction, however I got that problem too....

Judging by the sound of the SRT in the vid, I need those motor mounts baaad.... I heard almost no wheelhop, nice.....

 the first car i ever owned was a 1990 corrado g60. even though the one in the video was a slc model that vid really made me miss owning that car.

aslo when you were racing the civic, did you play with that guy or something cause you pulling him so lovely and then he started to hang.

Damn. That's a nice Corrado.

My friend has a '90 1.8L 4cyl Sup. 8V? Nice car for its age.
Never really looked for an SLC / VR6. Any idea what that guys done?
Stock I thought they were a 2.8L 6cyl V (178hp?). (No Supercharger on stock form?)

I'm just a Neon guy  any links on info to the Z Engineering kit?

I wouldn't count that Civic out as slow, put up a decent fight for an N/A 4cyl. The Corrado however, VR6 supercharged, I would have been disappointed to not have had that pull on the stock "Neon" from a much lower speed.

I would be this guy has respect for the SRT4 though....
