Hey guys, well your gonna love this.....

I think I am gonna have to race my dad. A friend of his asked me if my SRT4 was faster than his the vette. I told him the truth, I thought the srt was faster. Well when he heard that he freaked out and started talking smack and saying there is NO WAY my little Neon can beat his car. He went on by saying that he has a $100.00 bill that says he will "eat my car up." Well I am a little pissed by now. So let me give you the specs on each car. Please give me your opinion. Do you think I will beat him, or no.

1995 Chevrolet Corvette
6 speed
5.7 liter LT1

Mods:
K&N Drop in filter
Computer reprogramed
I think he gutted the cats

I reran the Vaccuum lines also. ( for faster spooling )
I usually run around 22Psi spike and 16-17 to redline

I have more mods, but they are not performance mods :eveilgrin


He wants to run 2 out of 3 times.

YOu have all those mods....but I don't see a stage 1 or 2 ecu, so you're getting mad timing pull up top.

Not knowing much about the mid 90's LT1s, I'd say it's a drivers race. If you bog or spin at the line...it's probably going to be over quick.

Just gotta be careful....sometimes GM engines take very well to a chip. The gutted cats should help a little as well..of course an SRT with those mods should be DEEP into the 12's so like I said, drivers race :frogtongu

Na I'm sorry the K&N doesn't do crap and unless he has other mods the "reburn" isn't going to do much. Stock for stock it would be a drivers race. A reburn, K&N and no cats is not going to drop a second off of a 1995 LT1, sorry.

well my plan is to run low boost in 1st and when I hit 2nd hit high boost. I am a pretty descent driver........I think

If you ran a 13.3 before S2, I'd be pretty confident in saying you're a decent driver and should win. I like the idea of 2 out of 3, cause anyone can [email protected]#$ up a race. Anyone that says they haven't is lying.

And don't tell your Dad this, but he'll do better disabling the TC if he knows how to drive...

I'm a big GM V8 fan. But I know the LS1/LT1's pretty well. You should have Dad eating some humble pie if you can control the SRT off the line.............
