Oh well time for me to get on my soap box. I keep seeing the same stupid ass threads day after day. It seems there are like 3 mind sets here and people need to be aware of it. Does the SRT have some problems.. Im sure some of the cars produced do and since its really only a 2 years old car things are bound to pop up. But please read these boards for only half truths as like I have said there are 3 mind sets here.. I will explain them below.
1st Mind Set: SRT Owner buys there car and drives it happily and not modding or dogging it (Very Few but there are some). Shit happens with the car and they take it to the dealer and get it fixed or use the community here to help solve some of these goofy little issues and work with the dealer and DCX.
2nd Mind Set: SRT Owner Modifies car with decent amount of parts and shit and expects the car to be rock solid even after modifying it and complain when shit breaks and not realizing that even though the part that broke may not be directly related to their modifications. Perfect Example.. Some of the TPS issues seen can be an indirect result of dogging the car with decent launches and wheel hop or even no wheel hop because the TPS wires are a little short. What happens is the motor mounts on the SRT are made to absorb valvetrain vibration so it is not emitted over the entire car. but what happens is the engine rotates causing undue stress on the TPS sensor. Yes this does happen.
3rd Mind Set: SRT Owner Modifies the car with aftermarket parts or even Mopar parts and realizes fully the extent of their modifications and the ramafications that come along with these mods(Very Few here have this Mind Set). These guys in this category know that if they break it they pay for it.
This board is used for information purposes and you have no clue who the hell the other person is that is typing messages so you dont truely always know what kinda info your getting.
