How do you consider an Ion or an Impala to be competition for the SRT? The Impala isn't even a compact car.

Function: noun
Etymology: Late Latin competition-, competitio, from Latin competere

2 : a contest between rivals; also : one's competitors <faced tough competition>

You left out a car or two. The eclipse GS-T or GS-X. The new eclipse are a joke even all 2nd gen and 1st gen DSM owners will rag on the new Eclipse all day long. A stock GS-X will run the 1/4 with a good drive in about 14.5ish i think i have heard of a stock "one or two maybe" hitting like a 14.3 stock. Most of them run mid 14 in the 1/4. I think they are a good car to race in the 1/4 from a rolling along as much as i hate to admit it SRT/4 will walk a GS-X and GS-T stock. I have alot of respect for your SRT's your cars are pretty impresive.

I didn't know you ment 03 model. In that case price wise i don't think the SRT/4 has any one who can match it.

04 Saturn Ion receives some GM Performance Vehicle Operation

Next Saturn Ion, will receive some street tuning as the next Saturn performance vehicle by the newly formed division called 'GM Performance Vehicle Operations.' (Sounds similar to the PVO abbreviation)

The Saturn Ion suppose to be release in the fall of 2003 (still a mystery). Not enough information was release to see if the Ion will receive a turbo or supercharger.

Somebody please tell me that's a joke. I've heard nothing but bad things...and laughter about the Ion.

More and more car companies will be introducing high performance models based on their economy cars. It's exactly what happened during the muscle car era....just now it's with little 4 cylinders instead of huge V-8's. It'll be awesome to see what import and domestic companies alike come up with to challenge each other year after year.

My guess? Shit themselves. Supercharged Hemi AWD, over 400 hp? They better bring some of those 'supercars' the ricers all whine about not having. Don't forget that the Mag has a lot of benz parts also, and I wouldn't doubt that PVO and AMG are sharing parts bins.
