So last night on the way home, I pressed the pedal all the way to the floor. Problem was it got stuck there so I stomped on it, nothing so I was getting close to the car in front of me so I stomped it and the clutch. It came back up but I got some really loud backfires! When I got close to home I noticed that the vehicle is sputtering badly even in idle and gets better above 3000 rpms. There is also a great loss of power.

I am running big turbo. I thought that I might have blown my turbo but I still get boost and I hear it spool. So maybe exhaust?

uh, your turbo should be fine, redline is there for your valvetrain, you could have encountered valve float and possibly damaged your valvetrain

use dielectric grease on the connectors on the spark plug to the spark plug wires, and the spark plug wires to the coilpack ends. Dielecetric grease can be found at any autoparts store. If that doesn't work replace your ignition system (plugs, wires, coilpack).
I had this problem I solved it using this method.

First of all before you drive it again, you might want to fix the gas pedal issue. Sounds like the throttle cable is getting stuck somewhere, or the TB actuator is gummed up and sticking open.

Does your car rev hang at all? What RPM does it idle at?
