Sloppy throttle cable (possible adjustment?!).

Well, I was researching Youtube, and found videos [for other applications] where someone added zipties between the cable and spring close to the gas pedal. It makes everything tighter. I noticed an inch of room between the spring and cable when pulling the gas pedal up. I think that has a lot to do with my throttle response and jerkiness. Let me know what you think.

This issue has been touched in the past, but nothing definitive.

BUMP for help/suggestions/anything?!?!
i dunno if i would use zip ties, i dont think theirs any adjustment. i would get someone to push ur gas pedal all the way down and make sure ur throttle plate is opening up fully. the cable could b streched
Looks like it was opening all of the way. I did try that.
Ive noticed that too. Its weird that it has all that slop. Mine still opens the TB all the way but takes alot to go so.
Yeah, if you move it by hand, it will kind of flop back to original position (not smooth).
My cable slack was comming from the gas pedal itself. The plastic base developed slack on the attachement points of the pedal. I tried everything ultimately replacing the whole pedal. I read abt modded pedals on neons.org I'm going to look into it again the problem returned a year later.

A couple years later and I’m running into this problem lmao did you guys ever find the solution?
While I did it for a different reason, I imagine cable clamps might alleviate your issues. At least temporarily.
