The srt4 is definitely a specialty car. I think the prices will drop on these vehicles, how far no one knows. The paint looked good. The engine compartment needs love. I wouldn't think it would take much money but some good elbow grease to make it shiny and more saleable. For 15k? It never hurts to ask.

I am a bit confused. Are you the original owner? You said "He had the engine rebuilt 2 years ago" So is this your fathers car or something? Maybe I didn't read something.

Good luck with sale. You can ask whatever you want for it. Me personally I would list it on other websites like cars.com. carguru, autotrader, carsandbids, bringatrailer etc etc.

Thanks for the reply. The black injector cover is due to the red paint coming off over the years. Like I said this is a single owner car. I'm not trying to deceive anyone here, name a date in time from now back to 04 and I can give you the nearest oil change receipt. The car was loved and i figured I'd post it here alongside the normal listing spots. The price is very negotiable, I just want it to go to a good home. I'll take pictures or video of anything anyone wants for seriously interested people. The skepticism and downright rudeness I'm getting from the veteran members here on the forum is odd to say the least.

This forum went through a spell for several years where new users would create an account, then proceed to scam the hell out of the forum until they were dealt with. Every new user was met with skepticism after that point, and in a WAY snarkier obnoxious way, this is child's play by any comparison.

You posted up what may very well be a great car for sale. The "veteran members" you reference are also VERY knowledgeable about these cars and will seek out discrepancies within any sale advertisement, perceived or otherwise.

It is not meant to be a personal attack, or to be rude, but some of these same people lost hundreds of dollars to sellers who were not honest. That sort of fraud continues on the facebook pages currently, to my understanding. It is something we don't want to see happen here. Generally if skepticism is met with logical explanation, that's the end of it.

If you were to see how things were 10 years ago, threads like this would get dumped into the Off Topic, the forums are a lot more sensible about that sort of thing now. There is no trust on anything, sort of a "guilty now prove your innocence", it's not meant to be personal. Once a person is here for a few months, selling a few items, and earns a reputable presence, people act a lot differently.
