55 of 60 available slots are filled for the Roadcourse High Performance Driving Education event.

When the remaining 5 slots are filled, that event will be closed.

There is a possiblility that 15 additional spots may be opened, but they will be at a higher cost and may not include instruction (limited to experienced drivers).

If you intend to participate in the Road Course event, do not delay in signing up. Event Advertising has started, 16,000 invitations have been sent out to Mopar owners, we expect to close this event out very soon.

Because we may add additional slots to the event, we may need additional instructors. If you believe you are qualified to be an instructor, please contact us at [email protected] or by PM. Your experience will be reviewed by Brian Smith for approval. As with most events of this nature, Instructors are not required to pay for their participation.

Regards,
Dale

We just sent out an email to all registrants for the Roadcourse event. If you are registered for the roadcourse, but did not receive an email, please contact me at [email protected]

Just over 30% of the participants have responded to the email already, and the results are very encouraging.

In concept this event, SRT Nationals, is meant to introduce enthusiasts to motorsports that they might not have had the opportunity to try yet. I really expected the roadcourse day to be dominated by hardcore track rats with purpose built cars, practicing for the SCCA Runoffs later this year.

Quite the contrary, nearly every respondant so far is a beginner or novice, with less than three days of experience on a racetrack. Sorry, but in this thread, a drag strip is not a racetrack :jester: .

That means that we as organizers and instructors have an amazing opportunity. Instead of babysitting people who are just looking for cheap track time, all of the effort put into the classroom sessions and on-track instruction will be well worth it.

Hopefully, our environment will encourage the participants to continue their driver training throughout the year at their local racetracks.

All of the responses to the email are being compiled into a large document, and instructors will be assigned based on the information given. If you have a specific instructor that you would like to work with, please let me know and I will include that preference in the document for Brian when he is sorting through.

Thanks for all of the support,
Dale

I responded to the e-mail and I really haven't participated in road course events but I know I will attend one locally.

I have only done autocross event, because they are more common.

Actually speaking of Autocross I haven't been added to the drivers list for autocross.

Remind me to not pay the guy who updates the lists on the website.:eveilgrin

Onelap is just a little more than a week away, everyone involved in the Road Course organization is getting ready for the event. Brian Smith is sorting out a Hennessey Viper currently, he'll be the overall winner this year...

Any spots left for the road course?
We almost went to a waiting list, but two people have requested we resell their spots for them.

Don't delay, the postcard invitations are mailing in the next couple days...

Well ya Rick rocks the house man, but for this year he is number 2 on my hope list. Not that everyone of the instructors are not accomplished and great drivers, but i want Erich. I seen him drive last year and he drives like me....... crazy and on the edge of control. Perfect!!!
