Reality-The Sti is faster than the SRT-4...
The STi costs 32K the SRT 20k
The fact that SOME Subie fans feel the need to compare the STi to our LOWLY Neon...PRICELESS...
The SRT-4 is a great car, inexpensive...fast..and (gasp) it actually handles well too...if I were a PVO engineer I'd feel damn proud that my 20K car so decimates it's "competition" that it is being compared to a car that is MUCH more expensive. I don't know about the rest of you but 12k is a BIG price difference to me.

i read in sport compact car or superstreet that the SRT's may be giving the EVO's and STI's a run for their money, but that is about hard for me to believe.

Stock for stock, if the STi or EVO driver sucks, we can give them a run for their money. If both are good drivers, the SRT can stay near either of them, but shouldn't be able to beat them. But, as mentioned, both the STi and EVO are much more expensive. I hate the "if I spent xxx on mods" crap, but in this case it's true. If we sunk 12k into an SRT, hell if we sunk 2k into an SRT, it'd become a hell of a fight. Keep in mind tho, on the street, without slicks, picking on an EVO or STi can get ugly. AWD is a hugh advantage, but then again so is a torque curve flater than kansas.
