and no where in it did it say change the oil at 300 mile mark.

what it did say was to take it easy the 300 miles or so and then start doing 3rd and 4th gear pulls.


so i did read the fucking manual and you know what all i wanted was how you guys broke in your srts

for those of you that answered my breakin post as i posted it thanks for the advice

for those of you that said read the manual the fucking manual was not all that informative

well my car got the shit beat out of it in terms of break in. i bought it new with 218 miles (most i'm sure were test drive mileage with people raping it in low gears). the first 800 miles i took pretty easy with the ocasional "let's see what max boost is in 4rd gear" run. but i did this w/o reading the manual. i didn't even do an oil change till 3200 mies although i've read you're supposed to get it done around 1000 miles.
