Production

Corporate said they upped the production numbers to 20,000+ long ago when they saw the VERY high demand.

If they can build 25 per day (which I think I saw on www.neons.org) and they build them 5 days a week for 50 weeks (which is way too many weeks) = 25 * 5 * 50 = 6250.

The assembly plant can only make 25 a day? Are they making them by hand? This is no where near my area of expertise but I would assume that a production line can spit out more than that...

The plant makes way more than 25 cars a day. The make neons all day long. The SRT runs down the same lines as the Neon, like a trim package.

Ok, yes they can make as many Neons as they want on the line, but the SRT-4 was only getting produced in small numbers to start with. Go read on www.neons.org - I believe it is one of the stickies. And it mentions going up to around 25 cars per day.

Maybe it's just me; but I'd say Dodge would know better than the avid enthusiast how many they'll be making. These things do change, but he said they significantly upped the amount they'll be producing (from 5,000).
