Yea.. take your stock wing off... drive down the street and tell me you notice a difference.. .If you do I'll call you a fricken liar. You WILL not notice a difference with the stock wing on or off.... it's "functional"... yea... maybe at speeds of 200+...
Actually I think we went over this a while ago when the forums where new.
Being a ex Aerospace Engineer major , I would tell you our stock wing does do something, not at excess speeds of 200 miles but sooner than that.
If we got the actual profile of the spoiler we could get an accurate number when it becomes effective, but at speeds over 100mph is where you would notice the diffrence ( unless we can get it pointed out by one of the engineers and state the facts of the spoiler)
The diffrence is on how the back of the car reacts to speeds/turns at high speed, of course most people say how can you feel the diffrence? well I can't answer that because my senses are not the best to determine how things work.
Thats why their is wind tunnel tests
Anyhow that website points out very good points, but forgot about 1 thing, rear spoilers on FWD does indeed help them out if the wing is designed for the vehicle, you want to keep grip on the rear wheels, especially at higher speeds, if not a slight turn can make you fish tail at high speeds.
to much downforce well the website gives you the exact answer, decrease in fuel economy, since your dragging the ass of the car everywhere.
