I was thinking of the smae exact thing.....If anyone is gunna go with black rims, you gotto have a silver/chrome lip orelse there is nothing to really look at.

I did a quick lil photoshop because that inspired me to a new idea that I think I'm going to go out and try:

Lowered, added a lip, and unpainted centers.
Damn that looks good. I've been debating on painting my stockers before I put them on for the winter.

Let's see...

1) Wet sand with 800 grit, rinse, dry, let haze form
2) Mask off the areas you don't want painted
3) Wet sand in close to the taped off areas.
4) Layer on light coats of spray paint (Gunmetal Auto paint from Wal-Mart)
5) Clear coat with 500 degree engine clear coat in a spray can
6) Let everything dry, pull the tape and newspaper off, bolt em' up and go!

3 large cans of color paint
2 large cans of clear
800 grit sandpaper

<$25 and you have a new look!

You can do the whole car in a day, including waiting between coats etc. Helps if you have a buddy to work with!
