We've installed the DEI fuel line shroud (velcro closure around the line) on our spark plug wires and boots to help avoid cooking them during Onelap this year.

We use the remainder of the shroud to insulate the fuel line as it passes up the firewall past the turbo, then over the engine. Avoiding preheating the fuel can only help with HOM detonation.

We are running without carpets in the car, which means anything directly above the exhaust pipe on the floor gets pretty warm during the transit miles. Between the underbody and the Maxxfab side exhaust (no cat, one resonator) we place the metallic coated tunnel/floorpan insulation sheeting. In addition to reflecting the heat away floor, it knocked out the 75mph drone that we are experiencing on the highway because of the removed carpeting.

If the S3R turbo arrives Monday, we'll be wrapping the manifold, O2 housing, and MaxxFab testpipe with the DEI exhaust wrap tape. The stainless steel tiewraps should make attaching it simple and attractive.

With any luck, one of the magazine photos will show the DEI/CryO2 decals or products and we'll be eligible for their cash payouts. Anything to help with the cost of gas....

Just finished wrapping the MaxxFab side exhaust, from the O2 housing to just before it pops out the side of the car. Tonight we'll wrap the S3R manifold and O2 housing prior to install and we should be okay. Keeping heat out of the engine compartment, and out of the cabin is pretty important to us, improving the turbo response is just a bonus.

Also put the 'water wetter' like fluid from DEI in the coolant, no sense in risking an overheat when it might be able to be avoided.
