Congrats man, I just picked up a TurboBay BWS and waiting to install as well! As for tips, make sure you break in the turbo lol so many people get on it right away=smoking/short life turbo.

Agreed break in period is a must and that will be done. Before any hard pulls are done. And congrats on the turbobay b.w.s should make a really fun ride. 😁😁😁
Yea for sure! And thanks I’ll be happy with that setup on e85. 350+whp/4xx trq is perfect for me.

Yeah my top goal is around 550 to 600 on e-85 but for this year 400 to 450 is where I want to be. And from what I've read that should be obtainable with this guy easily. At least I'm hoping lol. I know built bottom end strap kit all them goodies. Are needed for my top goal. But buy parts to get you where you're going right. I also have another bottom and top end im going to be building as well.
Yea I’ve heard a good amount of TurboBay owners have achieved in the 370/380 mark with a good tune! Right on seems like you know where you want to be. Maybe one day I’ll go big turbo if I ever rebuild my motor.
Yeah with out a doubt there has been plenty of there bws in the 400+ range as well!!! There a very good company. I am curious about the life of the turbo though at them power ratings/boost levels meaning 350 to 400. That's something I could never really found to much info on. If you could definitely keep me posted or even the boards here on the life span of it please!!!
Yea for sure 400 if they push to about 26psi but Im shooting more like 20-22. I also have their big neck manifold so that’s a plus. As long as it’s broken into and driven right meaning knowing how to drive an SRT4 than I’m sure Ittl last! I made a thread on it like last week with pics so I’m going to post my results and thoughts on there once I get things dialed in. Check it out!

Welcome to the Borg Warner family. I've been rocking an old S256 since 2008. Very likely going to be stepping up to the S257sx very soon.
Very cool. What's been your experience with this guy? Hopefully more good then bad.
Spool is decent. Pulls hard to 7k. I did have to get it rebuilt at about 40k miles. Looking like it’s about time to do it again. Which is why I’m considering jumping up to the 257. They claim with the billet wheel that comes standard on the 257 it’ll spool about the same as the 256, but is capable of about 100hp more.

Update

Agp s256sx installed and I got agp's break in of a hundred miles on it before I got into any boost at all and WOW just WOW!!! I only got a 150 miles on it so far. What a difference in car completely. Fully spooled by 3600 rpm. Haven't did much boosting at all yet but what I have done total smiles all around.

I'm trying to get about 500 miles on it before any real wot pulls. Loving the external waste gate!!! AGP FTW!!! Install was a easy with agp's kit. Amazing quality very well made. I will make another update in the coming weeks. But so far so glad I chose this route.

very nice. My new S257sx-e showed up this week. I haven't installed it yet. Of course the week i buy something for the car, something else goes wrong with it...
Definitely keep me updated on the s257sx-e curious in your opinion coming from the 256. Hope nothing to major happened. To your ride. And also best of luck getting it going again. Seems to be the way of the srt-4 get it going good. Buy something new for it. Then bam 3 to 6 other things happen. Lol gotta love it.

I'm still driving it, but something is up. I was headed to work the other morning and all of a sudden i started having really high hanging idle or super low lumpy idle. Its throwing 2 very strange codes P1187 & P1854 which even if i clear them they come back immediately. It also seems like it isnt switching between closed and open loop when i accellerate as the AFRs stay lean (upper 14's) even if i try to boost. I havent really had a chance to look things over very in-depth. But i want to get it figured out before i swap the turbo.
A CPL pictures of the finished for now engine bay with new turbo.

Looks nice. I’d recommend some sort of heat shield around your exhaust housing. I run a cheap generic turbo blanket and it works great.
I also had to order a new intake for mine since this s257 has a 3 inch inlet vs the 4 inch of my s256.

Yes was already thinking the same on a blanket for it. Thanks for the advice. Which intake did u go with?

Until now I’ve always run with a k&n filter straight on the turbo. I’m piecing together my own 3-4inch carbon fiber intake. I’ll post pictures when it’s done.
