Ive been reading about these things for a few weeks now about all the different brands and what it does and what people think and all of that. I just cant figure out if its something i should do. As it sits right now i have the aem short ram, mopar/borla exhaust and stage 1 will be going on in about a week. I dont plan on going crazy on performance, honestly id just like to be able to pull consistant 13's. I could end up just being happy with stage 1 but beings i havent felt the difference yet i cant decide. So on that setup, is a new WGA worth it or will i not notice much of a difference? And everyone who has one seems to also have some kind of MBC. I dont really know what im doing so im not comfortable with getting something that allows me to control boost levels. So does the part only work best with a boost controller or does it still make a difference without it? If for some reason i did get a boost controller to go along with it, what is the safest amount of boost i would be able to run? So if you think its stupid for me to get one if i dont want an mbc say it, i dont want to waste my money.

You will feel a gain from stage 1. It should put you in the HIGH 13's. I say get it, put it on and if you are happy with that, keep it. The AGP wastegate actuator combined with a boost controller will add alot of performance, and will get you into the low to mid 13's if you run 18 psi or so. I run 20 psi falling to 16 by redline. Its okay to run high as long as you have stage 1, and are falling to 15-16 by redline. With all my mods, before the wga running 20 psi the car was fast..... but NOW.... i can peel out from a 2nd gear roll. Its crazy. If you arent looking for crazy performance though i might just stick with the stage 1. Using an aftermarket WGA and boost controller takes away some every day driveability, as there is no "in between" stage in your boost. Its either no boost, and driving softly, or flooring it with full boost. There is no in between. Kinda sucks, but if your looking for alot of power its worth it. I hope this helps you out a bit.

If there is one mod you could get it would be the wastegate and mbc I just put my TC wastegate on and it made a big difference the stock wastegate has a 4 lb spring and just doesnt hold boost very well. if you run a aftermarket wastegate it is best to run it with a mbc.

If you want a plug in play wastegate actuator to hold 15psi to redline w/out using boost controllers, then just get a TCC or Forge... They hold 15psi to redline w/out us of a boost controller but if you want to go more than that and then come back down toi 15-16psi at redline then yes you'll want a boost controller along w/ that.. These 2 wastegates most accurately fit just like the stock WGA which mean not removal or cutting of the heat shield to make that straight arm on the AGP WGA connect correctly

So correct me if im wrong, but you guys are basically saying Stage 1 will be nice but if i want that little extra umph on top of it i should get the wga? And i guess with my knowledge, or lack of this is a part i should have a shop install who has done them?

yeah with stage 1 your gonna break the tires loose rolling first gear, and second gear will pull alot harder. With a wga running more boost everything will pull harder, but like i said, less driveability, and it takes some tuning so if you dont know how to do that stuff at all, have someone do it for you. Stage 1 is an easy install however. Sometimes i wish i still had just stage 1.... but then again my car is crazy fast now so maybe not. lol

what's better. ebc or mbc for the agp wga
if your doing 17 psi dropping to 15.
also is this something that i'll need motor motors beforehand?
or can i get this first and get motor mounts later in the spring?

and i take it the only difference between the new agp and older style agp wga is the material?
You can get it now before the mounts.

AGP waste gate actuator is very impressive........

11psi and holding is better than 17-18 and falling when you need it the most .... like down to 4-5 by redline
mine is set at only 15 with no boost controller and it has taken a while to get used to..... start low and bring it up
boost hold feature is the most important gain with the wga!!
it truely wakes the car up
