I got a nail in my front drivers side tire and brought it to get patched at firestone. Told me i would need a whole new tire. My question is should i just replace the one, or buy two new front tires if i replace one. If i do this, can i go different brand in the front and keep the stockers in the back?

Really my first experience having to get tires for a 2wd car (had AWD before). Worries me just replacing one and having the other front one with 15k miles on it.

If you replace only one,...make sure it's the same as the rest. I don't recommend having two different types of tires on a car. For safety reasons, tires should match all the way around.
Just replace the one with the same tire that is already on there. Then rotate the new tire and the other front tire to the rear of the car. If you can afford 2...then go that route and keep the older tire as a backup in case you get another nail.
