My total newbie questions:

1. What exactly does the ATP 3" downpipe do? and what is a catalyst and do i need it?

2. What does the ATP Pressure pipe with BOV mount do? It says i can use it with the TurboXs BOV?

3. Is it worth it to upgrade the stock spark plug wires and ignition coil? Any benefits?

It is the pipe that runs from the turbo down to the exhaust. 3" is one inch bigger than stock, flows better. The catalyst is the catalytic converter, you have one already, some ditch them completely (illegal), or get high flow ones instead.

2. What does the ATP Pressure pipe with BOV mount do? It says i can use it with the TurboXs BOV?

It replaces one of the intercooler pipes, and has a mount for a BOV (blow off valve, makes pssshhh sound, helps boost while shifting).

3. Is it worth it to upgrade the stock spark plug wires and ignition coil? Any benefits?

Yeah, after you have upgrade the turbo or are running higher boost levels

Thanks for the quick response! I understand much better now. Heres some more:

1. Will the 3" add any HP?

2. If i get DSBC, and i set a high and low PSI setting. does that mean i have a switch readily available while driving to change from high/low boost?

3. What does the AGP Wastegate Actuator do? ( heard it helps with HPBC? Also DBSC i assume?)

4. With the ATP 3" downpipe, why would i want their catalyst instead of the one thats already there? Is it better?

5. If i get an alarm w/ autostart, will it work with my TT?

6. To use an aftermarket stereo system, will i need to buy a better battery?( heard you do)

7. If i get rims 17's or 19's, what are the best tires for the car ( that will last a reasonable ammount of time) ?

8. What is an IC Sprayer Kit? ( is it the spray and supercools your intercooler?)

We should have a Modification Faq for newbies like me, so we can all just look on the faq for most of our Q's .. just an idea.

A bit, it is a good thing to have later when you have more boost.

Yep, good for drag launches, low boost will help you launch better.

Dunno, I havent looked at it. :roll:

The cat is attached to the downpipe, if you get their DP without getting the cat, your car will not have one. Also, your cat is 2", leave that on and you will be going from 3" to 2", that is restrictive.

It should.

No, but if you run a lot of amps you might want to, it will help, but you dont need to.

Dunno, I go for traction, tire wear isn't a big concern for me :wink:

Yep. Go to Nitrous Express, look at thei N-tercooler.

ATP makes a BOV up pipe and sells the BOVs

I would recommend Bridgestone S03 Pole Positions or BF Goodrich G force TA KDs in stock tire size
