Personal preference....some say 50, some say 58, some say 80.

I use a Maddog 58% reduced throw. The shaft is 1" shorter than stock. Also got it with positive shift stops, installed booger shifter bushings, and billet shifter base bushings. Absolutely love the setup! I would be interested in trying a more reduced throw, but even a 58% takes some getting used to over a stock shifter. You can't go wrong either way, you'll just have to get used to whatever you buy. Maddog STS FTW!
