I notice a noise around 3000-3500 rpm, but mostly just in 3rd gear. It almost sounds like a metalic vibration, or a rattle. Probably doesn't help much, but just what I have experienced in the past week of joy.
Take a peek at your cat and the metal around it. Many have seen somethign similar when the cat shields come loose a bit on other cars.

Mine does this. Its coming from your gearshift, move it a tiny bit one way or another and it goes away.

i think what you are talking about is commonly called "clutch chatter." very low rpms for the gear, usually first or second, kinda sounds like baseball cards in bike wheels (but faster)? if thats what you're talking about, i think its normal.

the rattle in 3rd is coming from the shifter. mine goes away if i push on it a certain way, but then i can hear a ticking outside the car when engine breaking around 2200 or so. release the pressure, ticking goes away, rattle from shifter comes back. i can see im not the only one. recall anyone??
