I remember when the SST first came out, I think John said to only use the stock surge valve and not a cold side pipe and BOV. I may be mistaken, John can you clear this old thought out of my head please.

I know it sounds weird, but I swear I remember it from when the SST first came to fruition, but if it were a rule that had to be followed I'm sure John would remind us.

It is something that has been mentioned in the past. Here is what I want, a BOV that vents below 5 PSI anything higher and you may brake the shaft. I have seen and heard of the BOV being set so tight that they blow off at 15 PSI or higher, that is just bad for the turbo shaft. Soo that is why I recommended the stock surge valve or the Mopar BOV conversion.

Um good to know, I've got a Mopar BOV and never had a leak works great

Off topic but is the LBC hard on the SST?

LBC on the SS turbo does have some questions that need to be answered. Hold off in the install of that for now. I may need to buy it back from you since it could be bad for the shaft speed and it may not even work.

What pressure does it vent at? Let me put it this way, if its below 5 psi when it vents then we are good. Anything over this then you could end up with a problem with a SS turbo.
