I've had my car for a little under a month now, 1,500 miles..and it seems like every time I drive it..it gets a little quicker..anyone else feel that the SRT-4 engine was REALLY tight from the factory?

I would swear the same thing. I have 2600 miles on mine now. I just dont get used to the power. The galant is faster and I get bored with the power. This car builds it's power so nice it feels strong all the time.

I agree. I have 1300 on mine and I definitely notice an improvement over the last 300-400 miles.

I noticed an improvement in mine between day 1 and day 3 (today). Guess the engine is breakin' in!

<----cant really say I have noticed much of a diff...mine seemed pretty strong just after official "300" mile breakin... just changed the oil for the first time yesterday .... 1345 miles.. :wink:

You will notice an increase in power as the piston rings seat. Between 500 and 1500 miles your engine will get stronger.

I've heard Nathan/TXS say the same thing: the more they drive it the faster it gets. My car is definitely faster, but that could have something to do with the extra boost. :wink:

It may feel stronger as the engine is past the break in period.
Once you really start racking up the miles on the turbo it will go the oppisite way. Untill you get a rebuild or new turbo.

Depends on how you treat the turbo - I have 96k miles on my Talon and the car is quicker than ever (with the stock turbo - it doesn't compare to when I had the bigger turbo, etc. on it).
